peterAs some of you may or may not know I am lucky enough to own both a Bold and a Storm.  Now recently my Bold started to play up insomuch as the external speaker stopped working.  This meant I was missing calls, texts and generally not functioning as well as I need to be.  I took my phone back to T-Mobile who have sent it away and now I have been Boldless for 9 days. Not that I am counting or anything but the old adage of " you dont know what you are missing until it is gone" has never been so apt. Sure I have the Storm but for me there really is no comparison, the Bold is just streets ahead.  It does not crash its got a better battery life and perhaps best of all its got a proper keyboard.  Every morning I wait and hope for the text from T-Mobile informing me to come and collect my repaired Bold and so far I have been disappointed.  If anyone else wants to tell us their BlackBerry stories or how they use their Berry then feel free to send us an article to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. I did something crazy this weekend.  I went to the mall on Black Friday.  I know this is the norm for many people, but having worked in retail for many years, I avoid peak shopping hours like the plague!

I was recently diagnosed again with breast cancer.

It all began in 2001 and I went through the whole nine years to battle the little demon.

In 2003 I had a remission and had to dust off my armor and get into battle again. Victory was mine, for a time at least, and new positive things came into my life. One of them was Twitter which had enabled me to reach out to others and spread the word of positive thinking. The other was BlackBerry.

The BlackBerry 8900 and The Truth Revealed! PDF Print E-mail

keithLet me first start by saying I’m not a fan of the iPhone. And it’s not that I’m a BlackBerry Addict due to my love loss for the iPhone. It’s that I have always equated the BlackBerry to “Business”. Before I owned my first BlackBerry, whenever I saw someone typing on one I wondered what their job was. And when I got my first BlackBerry, the 8700g, I felt as if I had to justify the purchase. Not for the price, but for what the device was. Buying a BlackBerry was like entering an exclusive club, and having to prove I knew the secret handshake to the powers that be. That I belonged.

It’s been a long time since I last wrote anything for BerryTastic, but when I finally got my hands on the new BlackBerry Bold 9700, I just had to tell you about it.

The BlackBerry Bold was probably my favourite of all BlackBerry devices when it dropped last year, and saw me travel a round trip of 250 miles to Edinburgh just to have one weeks before my local stores stocked it.

It’ll come as no surprise to you that, once again, I went on a mission to get my hands on the new Bold, this time going over 400 miles round trip to Birmingham. You know it has to be done.

Reese

I have a confession.  Until recently I was living in the 20th century.  I was still on a dial up connection for the internet.  This wasn’t by choice; I was being held hostage by internet providers.  I live in a rural area, but only 5 miles from civilization.  You can imagine my frustration when I was told that my neighborhood was not scheduled to receive broadband in the near future—meaning within a year.  The frustration stemmed from the fact that people living a quarter of a mile from me were able to get it.

I checked into other options like an air card or satellite, but none seemed viable for my family.  The latest option, MiFi, got my attention.
