I have a confession. Until recently I was living in the 20th century. I was still on a dial up connection for the internet. This wasn’t by choice; I was being held hostage by internet providers. I live in a rural area, but only 5 miles from civilization. You can imagine my frustration when I was told that my neighborhood was not scheduled to receive broadband in the near future—meaning within a year. The frustration stemmed from the fact that people living a quarter of a mile from me were able to get it. I checked into other options like an air card or satellite, but none seemed viable for my family. The latest option, MiFi, got my attention. |

I've had a few days to run the leaked beta OS 5.0.0.190 on my Curve 8900 and I must say, this OS is promising! Yes, there are always caviats when installing code that isn't quite ready for prime time, but you can get a feel for what programmers are shooting for and you can usually get a feel for whether they heard your cries of pain after the previously leaked 5.0.0.90 version. And, in fact, at this writing, another OS version 5.0.0.204 is already out in the wild and being scrutinized. Yes, RIM has many beta OS versions and many beta testers, but, here are my two cents about what I think is giant leap in the right direction. |

My cousin was visiting from Philly for the weekend. It’s always great to see her since we’re both always so busy. It was a last minute decision so she was in a hurry when she packed her bags. She checked everything twice and began her drive. All looked well. |

I have taken an unfortunate and unplanned hiatus from writing due to adventures in my life that I will eventually let you all in on. I know that while I have been gone everyone here at this fabulous site has been keeping you all greatly entertained and informed. So here I come again hopefully to gain a little insight on that which seems to be taking my mental focus out of range. I don’t know exactly what to do and I would love some input. |
