As some of you may or may not know I started BerryTastic in November of last year whilst recovering from an operation to repair my repeatedly dislocating shoulder. One of the ideas behind the site was to show people the many varied and different things people can and do use their BlackBerry for.
Anyway I felt it was time I stepped up to the plate and wrote some articles for the front page and so here is the first in hopefully a series of articles “Peter’s Diary”. The reason I started writing this today is because in a way things have come full circle. I am back at the hospital waiting to see the specialist. Whilst the shoulder has healed my movement is still not good enough and as such the physiotherapist is recommending I get put to sleep for 30 minutes or so whilst the surgeon manipulates my shoulder. Now I don't know about the U.S. but over here the doctors rarely rub to time and so I knew I would have time to burn. This is where the trusty Berry comes into play. Firstly, as a confirmed podcast addict I turn on the fantastic Podtrapper, plug in my earphones and immerse myself on the latest Leo LaPorte show. Podtrapper is a fantastic product that downloads and manages all my podcasts automatically and I truly couldn't live without it. Whilst listening to the podcast I have a few chats going on via BlackBerry Messenger and Gtalk and before I know it, the receptionist is calling me to go see the specialist. These are just some of the simple ways that the BlackBerry enhances my life and I look forward to sharing more and varied experiences in the future. I would also love to read about your usage, too, and so if you want to write for the site, feel free to contact me on
